Rattling hatch

My hatch in my 97 LS rattles a LOT. It does it when I'm driving down the road, and it makes a lot of noise at even the slightest bump or or dip. I can't really tell if its just the black plastic on the hatch itself thats making the noise, or if the acutal door is rattling loose. Anyone think of what my problem might be and how to go about fixing it? Appreciate your help!

i have the same problem.....anyone have any ideas?
try to wrap electrical tape around the hatch latch. thats what i did and the noise went away.
i wrapped some electrical tape around mine like inte94gra said about 2 weeks ago and it worked perfect
THANK THE LORD IF THAT WORKS... I HAVE BEEN PUTTING UP WITH THAT FRIGGIN NOISE FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF
im bout to go and try it
WHY ISNT THIS IN THE ARTICLES...
in each corner of the hatch, there are rubber stops, these screw in and our just by turning them. they get flatter over time, so unscrew them out a little, this will force the latch to grab tighter.
tried that over a year ago didnt work
yea use the electric tape thing i had same problem plus everytime my system hit the hatch would squeak n the electric tape fixed it perfectly :)
huh, worked on my teg, and my 2 crx's, those were the squeakiest hatches ever. anyways, sorry it didn't help. good luck yo.
worked for me too

Well I fixed it, the problem was the three screws that hold the latch on to the frame....they were all loose and sticking out about an inch..tightened them up, and my ride was completley quiet. Try taking off the back plastic peice and uncovering these..they might be the problem.
where is this latch do i wrapp around with tape?
I was wondering the same thing as achebee little more specific as to where u would put this electrical tape.. thx!
The latch you wrap is the one that goes into the locking mechanism.
Well i've been annoyed by this sound alot too, do you wrap it around the bottom of the latch or the sides of the latch? I tried wrapping the sides and the bottom of the latch this morning and it still squeaks over bumps
