I have an auto LS and I heard that i could have my torque converter maxed to lvl 10 to help get some whp back. Are there any negitive effects from this? Or would it be better to not to do this all together?
i'm not sure i understand what your askin but. lvl ten makes torque conv. right? anyway the higher the stall speed means the higher you can launch at. high stall conv are good for racing use but can be bad for gas mileage. a torque conv is a viscous coupling between your eng. and input shaft of the trans. a stock conv is prolly around 2k so in laymans terms when you get up to 2k the conv is locked per say but below 2k it is slipping which allows you to stop w/o stalling. a higher stall speed say 4500 you will have slippage till 4500 but when you launch you can leave the line at 4500 instead of 2000 r's .
