Hey all. I need to know if/how I can secure my stock head unit to my aftermarket mounting kit. As some of you know, about a month ago, my stereo and Monitor and PS2 got stolen, and since then, i've been riding around with my stock head unit connected (and it works fine), but not secured in place (so it falls on my lap every time i shift hard). I think this is the cause for my stero fuse blowing out every minute of the day. I've gone thru like 15 fuses. I know, I'm stupid, I'm stubborn, but I just keep changing fuses like every day. Sorry for the long post, and thanks for your help.

Peace,
Gerson M.

the stock unit will not fit/secure-itself to an aftermarket kit.....

take the radio out, match up a few bolts to ....

acutally, before i even get into that, does the stock unit still have the factory pocket attached to it?

and its not very "safe" to drive around knowing you are going to blow fuses... fuses are not fool proof by any means and you could really damage something

cool, thanks Z. No, the stock unit doesn' have the pocket attached to it. I figured I might be able to just screw in the head unit from the rear because there's nothing changed about the holes for screws in the back. It seems to fit right in place, like it just needs to be screwed in from the back. Again, Thanks.

you'll need something to prop up the deck or else it'll flop all around and you'll have the same issues.....

get the pocket.. it can be from any Honda....

i have the pocket in my garage, but I kinda thought it'd be a hassle to take the mouting kit out and put the stock one back in It's got a lotta screws n stuff, and i'm not the type that likes to mess with electronics (not that a mounting kit itself is electronic but you know what i mean). But i guess that's the right way to do it right?
