Hey guys,I jus recently read an article on porting stating that porting by hand can be a brutal mistake unless in the hands of a good technician(duh) but then i heard of CNC porting and jus wanted to gather some more information on Porting in general

i think we just had a thread like the about 2 weeks ago... how porting can shift powerband, how it can hurt powerband in different rpm's to aid power in other regions...

pros: more power and move your powerband

cons:they can screw it up by narrowing the powerband and making the engine peaky and therefore making you have an undriveable car, if they don''t match the porting size to your needs (you gotta know what those needs are to tell them first though: peak power goal & powerband rpm location, cam specs, displacement, N/A vs. FI, tranny used, octane, driving use race or daily driver.).
