I am wondering if anyone knows about how much weight powdercoating adds to a wheel. I bought a set of Tecnomagnesio wheels off ebay from another teg owner, and they had powdercoated them for show. There is definitely a thick clear coat!!! Since these wheels almost practically cease to exist on these shores, i have had a hard time finding weights of the wheel itself.

Wheel -Size Kilograms Pounds
Front -16 x 7-7.0 -15.40
Rear -17 x 8.5 -8.1 -17.60
Front -17 x 8-7.4 -16.28
Rear -18 x 10 -9.3 -20.46
these are stats off NSXprime, but thats for a NSX 5 lug, as well as mine are 17x7 in...
Anyways, i am just trying to learn more about these wheels, even though i may be selling them as they will be off for a year in school...
oh yeah, and heres a pic of my style off NSX prime.

EDIT: and my wheels seem to weight like 23 pounds!!!

I don't really understand why your worried about the wieght of powder coating?
They need paint/clear coat or some type of sealer. If it adds weight at all it would be less than 1 lbs for all four wheels.

Someone had them powdercoated, they didn't come that way. I wouldn't suggest removing it though, as the wheels were probably washed, etched, and either chromated or phosphated before the powdercoating process.
