I was looking through my engine bay today and noticed that on several parts in the engine bay there are painted colored dots on several parts.

There are several colors (blue, navy, yellow, white dots) on several parts (nuts, a few hoses, some other metal parts also)

What does this mean? Does anyone have these painted spots on their parts?

Ive seen parts from Junk/Salvage yards have color markings like this, beside's that I wouldnt have any idea.

maybe the person before you swapped motors and labeled stuff by color?

the dots are for warranty. it's to see if you did any thing to it and if you did it would void your warranty unless you don't have warranty anymore
