Thanks! The front brakes alone make a huge difference in stopping power! They have not had a problem with brake fade on a run up to marys peak (Hill climb in the area). These brakes are an absolute must for this car. The only issue I had was wheel fitment. The bracket rubbed off some of the inside on my wheels so I had to grind some of the bracket but it's definitely worth the buy. The brake dust is also a pain but the pros outweigh the cons easily!

Got home from school today and noticed a package!

My ASR brace and USDM ITR rear sway bar came in the mail...pretty much super stoked to put it on tonight or tomorrow.

I also ordered some ARP head studs and got a quote for a custom stainless manifold and down pipe for when I get my turbo.

It's nice to pull the gun on the "Black Dynamite" operation. Should hopefully be put together at the end of August. Shooting for 240 WHP on a gt2560r seeing how it is my daily/autocross/hillclimbing fun car.

A money shot of the parts. The brace looked pretty legit. I ordered everything from JHPusa because it was the only site I could find them on...only took them a whole month to ship it out...

Well its not official rulebook hillclimb racing but its comparable to californian canyon runs or going up the dragon. We dont have canyons in oregon so my friends and I find mountains to drive up. Its tons of fun!

Put my sway bar and brace on after 4 hours of mild brain farts...what a great learning experience!

The bar makes it a whole new car. Less body roll and just overall stiffer and better turning. 10/10 would buy again!

Here's an ass pic for brace lovers!

AutoX was today! The sway bar and the brakes and everything worked in perfect harmony. I ended up 3rd out of 6th in SMF. Everyone else runs slicks and I was stuck with my all seasons. My fastest time was a 32.87 where the fastest time was a 29.5 so I felt like I did pretty well. I just posted a video on youtube. I ended up with two re-runs because the subaru behind me got lost on one run and I caught up with it on the second one...the guy was from dirtfish rally school too... Here's the video, there will be another video tomorrow because there is another event.

This was day 2 of autox and the fourth event of the season. It went really well just like saturday. I had five runs and four of them I took passengers along with me. I ran constant 39s with passengers and ran a 38 without any. Ended up third in my class out of 7 people which I am definitely satisfied with. Here's the video, there shouldn't be many posts since I'll just be getting parts I can't install for a while and the next autox isn't until August.

It's been a few weeks since an update because I can only order things once every two weeks. Anyways, my buddy convinced me to buy a 50 dollar underglow kit so I did. I also bought a set of glowshift gauges because they were having a deal where you can buy three gauges and a pillar pod for dirt cheap so I bought a pyrometer, boost, and oil pressure gauge. I put the underglow on and it's pretty sweet. The only difficult part was finding a place to mount the bars and hide the wires because that is NOT easy on a stock body. I also ordered magnets for numbers and letters for autox. My next buy should be a catch can, fuel pump, and head gasket depending on how much I get paid.
I am in dire need of type R side skirts and a front lip along with some blue paint on my wheels, the gold is killing me with all the new blue things.
Here are a few pics of what I got!

Just bought some car parts and had some left over cash for some paint so I spent my weekend with my car and this is what happened.

Painted my valve cover

Painted my calipers

Cried over my spark plug seals failing on me. (I replaced them)

Made my tire lettering white because I love my retro ass wheels.

The final products! I'm gonna paint my battery tie down blue one of these days.

My walbro 255, catch can, and intercooler should be here some time this week and I still have yet to go and pick up my head studs from the shop I ordered them from.

Got some go fast parts today and yesterday! I'm glad to be one step closer to being faster! I think I only need my turbo, BOV, exhaust stuff, intercooler piping, head gasket, and injectors. Started thinking about a waste gate and if I needed one for a gt2560r since it has an internal one. Anyone know about this? I haven't had time to do research on it. Anyways, I got my fuel pump, intercooler, catch can, and oil filter sandwich plate so I can hook up my oil pressure gauge.

Ended up having an hour of spare time so I put in my walbro before my girlfriend showed up on sunday and we drove to the coast! It ran great and Im pretty satisfied with it. At idle, you can hear it run and it only gets louder with less gas in the tank. A guy told me to keep the tank filled as much as possible so it doesn't harm the pump. Turning my key on is now more entertaining because it makes me feel like I have a crude race car :driving: I just got paid today and am gonna buy an HKS SSQV BOV, an OEM head gasket, and some 410cc injectors from rywire.com. after that it is pretty much just waiting for my turbo and exhaust items and a tune and a huge install party

Well I finally got time off during the day so I went in to town and picked up my autox magnets and ARP studs.

The studs that the garage ordered were for the B20 with a B16 head so I have no idea if it will work with my B18B1...Anyone know if it will work?

Does anyone have any idea what kind of nut this is and what socket will fit it? The instructions don't say anything about them.

Also, I am not sure which side to put in to my block and which side goes on my head.

One side has an allen key on the top of the threads and the other doesn't so I am completely lost!

My mishimoto catch can also has a big problem because I was gonna connect it to my PCV and then out in to my IM but I can't find a thread pitch and diameter that will work and the hose they gave me is too big for it. With that said I will probably send back the can.

I also ordered an HKS BOV, grams 550cc injectors, and an AEM UEGO wideband kit. Hopefully the injectors will work fine for my 240WHP goal. Any clue if I can just wire in the wideband with my current tune and have everything run the same?

Exciting stuff has happened lately. I received my BOV, injectors, and wideband! It just makes me happier the closer I get! I talked to my tuning shop and they said to not go with a turbo that's too small or it won't perform very well so they recommended getting an evo turbo and mate it with a manifold they already have made which will save me loads of money and time for this build! They showed my a dyno run of a guy that had an evo turbo and the thing spools so quick and powerful it's ridiculous! Anyways, here is some porn for everyone who likes to look at it!

More to come in a week or two due to payday on the 1st and AutoX on the 8th and 9th? Anyways, I found a fellow evo owner who said he would part his Evo8 turbo for 250 bucks since he wants an evo9 or 10 turbo anyways. I can almost hear the choo choos! :driving:

So I finally got a full day off today which was much needed! I decided to tackle my gauges and installing them. Took me roughly 4 hours because I like to take my time and hide wires properly. Anyways, I wired in the power wires to everything and connected the white wire on my AEM gauge to the WHT/RED wire on my ecu and it just reads 14.7 or 14.8 all of the time so I have no idea if it is correct or not. I moved my EGT probe, oil pressure wire, and my boost tubing to my engine bay too so it will be easy to put on when I get my turbo. Here's a pic of my gauges and all of the hidden wires.

And this is the wire I spliced in to. My 98-01 manual says the D14 pin is a BLU/RED wire. I am honestly confused on which one I am supposed to connect it to.

With two other angles

This is an OBD2b to OBD1 conversion just for the record.

Sooooooooooooo car parts...YEAH!

Went to my tuner shop and bought a three core half sized radiator and a used B-series to evo turbo manifold which saved me about three hundred dollars. I also bought some rod bolts because they will install it for free if I buy them  I also went autocrossing but that video will be a different day!

Here's the money shot!

I just need another paycheck or two and a turbo along with misc. parts. I am way too stoked for this and can't wait!

Thank you! It's been a rough summer since I have spent every hard earned dollar I made on my car but it will be worth it in the end!
