Hi I had a problem with a fuel pump it was either that or the main relay so I just decided to replace both, but when I installed my walbro 255 fuel pump a high pitched whine started and I knew it was coming from the pump. Anyways, do I have to break in the fuel pump or did I somehow get debris in my tank? If so, how do I go about removing the debris? Thanks!

Whine can be a typical characteristic of a new pump. Nothing gets broken-in with pumps. I would recommend just monitoring for now.

Okay great, do you know how long I have to drive it for it to go away or does it just go away randomly?

It may never go away. Again, could just be a characteristic of that brand, and/or pump. Historically, I have seen & have heard of others bringing this up in regards to Walbro pumps. Not that there's anything wrong with it, just that they're louder than others.
