Hello! I changed my timing belt recently and also a new distributor. I read an article from 2004 with a problem similar to mine, The distributor is set as far retarded as it will go but igniting timing is still advanced at maybe 20-22 degrees. I cannot get it to center on the 16 degree mark it will only advance further toward the TDC mark. Is this from the intake cam being one tooth off? I checked the timing with the cams and oil pump and everything lines up, still maybe my eyes are wrong. But from my understanding the distributor is locked into position by the cam.
