that part is usually down in the spot that it is sticking out of. it sets sidways on the spring. the clutch itself was shot too

hey!!! thats the exact same peice of metal i had floating around in my clutch!! Yup, i'd say time for a new one...

Same thing happened to mine. That's what 6k launches on drag radials will do your stock clutch.

lol yeah that was around 50 passes at the strip on a clutch with 140,000 miles on it... in the middle of rebuilding my motor and came accross that thought id post it.
