well since I pulled up the following info from your profile:

so I know which gen integra you have, the next question hits me, which screws are you talking about? the screws under the hood could be the screws holding the hood to the hood hinges, or perhaps the hood latch to the hood, or perhaps you meant a screw located lower than the hood(hence the "inside the hood" part) which could apply to a whole lotta stuff. please tell us which screw(s) you are refering to.
oh yeah, usually screwdrivers work as screw removers too, the trick is to turn them COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.
push down on the driver though it will help prevent the driver from lifting out of the screw divot(?) and stripping your screws out. also if the screw is hexagonal use a socket on the outside. a 10mm socket usually does the trick nicely.
