From what Ive searched and read, basically everyone is gonna flame me. But MD? The chip I have engages vtec at 4400 and redline 9100. Of course, I wouldnt take it up that high, but I got the chip for next to nothing. So it cant hurt to put it in right?

you don't soder them in...you press the chip into the pot that holds it on the mother board...don't get static electricity or the natural oils from your fingers on it...wear latex gloves and try not to use metallic objects to press it in...look for the chip with the same size...I had a link of where you press it in on a thread that was up 2-3 days ago...search under ecu.

ecu reprogramming changes the fuel map, ignition map, vtec switchover point, redline, and deactivates the sensor error codes and the speedlimiter if you have one.
