I have a 1997 Acura integra grs. When I put my shifter in gear, I’m still able to move it left and right. It doesn’t shake when I’m driving. I’ve already tried replacing both shifter bushings and the shift lever M/T ball seat and dust seal. That help making my shifts stiffer but I can still move it left and right. I’d appreciate any feed back.

If you fix the sloppiness in the shift linkage & you are still having issues, another thing that wears out over time in our transmissions is the "shift change assembly". It is the mechanism inside the transmission that actually moves the shifter forks. That can cause slop as well. There used to be a kit you could buy to fix this. But I believe it is no longer available. I had to change this Assembly on an LS transmission before.
