Manual brake pedal into Auto assembly bracket

106 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Nathanls
My 1998 integra is manual swapped and I wanted to put in a manual brake pedal. So my car is still running the automatic brake and gas pedal assembly. I just put in a brake pedal from a 97 civic and everything fits but the rubber thing doesn’t line up with the brake switch. Does anyone know if this is supposed to happen? Do I need a brake pedal from an integra? Do I need to get a full manual pedal assembly, if so will a civic pedal assembly work? Tia

I used the pedal out of another Integra when I did my swap and didn't have that problem, so you are likely correct that you need the pedal out of Teggy. That said, if I were you, I'd get a piece of scrap steel, remove the rubber plug, and use the hole to bolt on a steel finger to reach over to press the brake switch. Or better yet, it looks like there is already a little piece of metal you can bend to trigger the switch.

I see thanks, the metal bend with the hole by the switch is for the spring to hook on, I will most likely look for a integra pedal thanks!
