ok after looking for a decent box, i realized they're all overpriced, so i decided my friend and i can build one. any tips for me? all i know so far is to use mdf, what should i use to seal it from air leaks? i know i can use crutchfield.com to get all the little things like ports and the wire terminals and what not, but i dunno what else to get..? thanks, any help is appreciated

you arent going to just "go out and get" ports.. you have to find out what the woofer requires for a box (good idea to call tech support of whoever makes the woofer to get the specs)... silicone in a tube for sealing, drywall screws for securing the pieces

heres the requirements for the box, i got it off of crutchfield.com

ported box volume: 1.25-2.0

how many of the ports will i need for each sub?

thats why you have to get the specs from manufacturer because port size matters too big or too small will effect the way it responds to power, isnt it this way with all tings?
If you were makeing a sealded box would be simpler just know what the volume should be and go for it.
