Just a thought but I was wondering if I would be able to make my own parts in my engineering class. There is a machine that can scan anything into the computer and then different milling and cutting machines that can make a precise duplicate of whatever scanned in the computer out of any material. Would id be possible to scan some parts in and maybe have them duplicated in aluminum of steel? Just an interesting idea.

After a semesters worth of work you could probably make a pretty sweet spark plug cover or maybe one of those really expensive oil caps...

very very cool idea...the best way to learn is to cut and try...add one part with a certain dimension to see what it does. then change the dimension and see what that does...to me that is the coolest way to learn how to improve your car's performance...you gain much more insight.

trial and error...
