My Teg is dripping a tiny bit of oil, maybe 3 drops overnight. The plug is tight and the dipstick is sitting okay. The thing that bothers me is the bottom of the pan is wet with oil. Is my gasket bad? The car only has 48k miles FWIW.
It could be. I would get some good degreeser and really clean that whole area. Then check the next morning, it should be pretty obvious where the leak is coming from.
Ha...I have a reverse main seal leaking between the tranny and block. It's not leaking a lot, but you can see it nonetheless, and I'm not in the mood to pull the tranny to change it a part that's like $1.
Replace the crush washer on your drain bolt. This will solve the problem most of the time. This is why if you get your oil changed at the dealership, they replace it with a new one EVERY time.
