Official Expo 8 Website

Registration – Registration will be a bit different this year. Due to time and resource constraints, we outsourced the registration process. At the end of this post, I will post paid registrants on a regular basis.
Drivers & Instructors - OPENhttp://www.dlbracing.com/drivers/login2.aspx?return=/clubs/itrca/de.aspx?EventID=3027
NoN-Driver/Guest: - OPEN http://www.dlbracing.com/driv...n=/clubs/itrca/guest.aspx?EventID=3027

Costs:
Drivers - $360 for Track Event and Banquet
NoN-Drivers/Guests - $40 for Banquet
Instructors - $40 for Banquet - All instructors are required to pay for the banquet and will be in Pending or Paid status until they have both
1. Paid, and
2. Are approved to be instructors by the Expo 8 committee.
‘Confirmed’ status indicates that you have been approved to be an instructor. We would like to get at least 35 instructors.
Note, just because an individual signs up to be an instructor does NOT indicate that they will have ‘Confirmed’ instructor status.

***Drawing for FREE Driver, Instructor, and Guest Spots***] I thought it would be a little fun to get a contest / drawing going for a FREE Driver ($360), Instructor ($40), and Guest ($40) spot.

Anyone that signs up and pays before December 15th, 2007 will be eligible for their respective category. The list of eligible people will then be posted within the following day or two. The winners (1 per category) will be announced on January 2nd IF we have met the 85 minimum number that we need for paid drivers.

We have started working with VIR again for plans on Expo 8. At this point, we are 99.9% sure that we will have these dates for Expo 8 per VIR officials.
- June 9th/10th (Mon/Tue) 2008
At this point, we expect that Expo 8 would mirror Expo 7 closely. We are considering a different venue for the banquet due to the seating arrangement, but the layout, etc. will be the same as far as the agenda for the two days.

We anticipate raising the money ahead of time as we have done in previous years with the deadline being at the end of December.

The event will be structured as past Expos have been. VIR is a premier track, and it will take a lot of effort to make this happen, and we will need help spreading the word. VIR specifics can be found at
VIR

Note to OP: Additional info added to spur interest in the event...

Last year was open to everyone. It's first come, first served in terms of your payment for the event, regardless of your "R" status.

That's exactly how I feel.

But then the Cali guys are pussies if they have to drive further than 3 hours for a track day.

Thank them for the lack of ITR expos out here on the West Coast. That really sucks.

Can't say I have much sympathy for you. :)
How many tracks do you have within a 4 hour drive from you? Midwest has tons of tracks to chose from.
