Recently had a rod bearing failure on cylinder number 3. The bearing didn't roll but it ended up doing some "minor" damage to the crank. I can run my finger nail over the damage and it doesn't snag but I can slightly feel the wear. You think some high grit sandpiper could smooth the surface enough just to replace the bearing?
