I just got an Ipod and i wanted to hook it to my car so i don't have to carry CD's anymore. I've looked in to FM transmitters, but i don't like the sound quality. I was thinking about geting the Alpine ipod ready CDA-9853

Along with that i was thinking of getting the Alpine Car Deck Interface Adapter for Apple® iPod

What do you think of this? It will cost around $500 after tax. Any input would be great.

If you already have a deck with an aux input, you can plug it into that.

You can get an Alpine Deck that has that ipod ready for about $200-250 and the Alpine KCA is $100. Thats less than $500
and install is easy for a DIY.

$500?!?! Are you kidding? Wow. My Pioneer one was like 150....500 is way too much. For that much I'd just get a connection at radio shack for the AUX input...500 is not worth it im0, you could have put that towards your deck and gotten a dvd nav system...
