Hello All,
On Friday my father and I purchased a 5 speed Voltage Blue 2000 Acura Integra LS Coupe with 90,147 original miles. it's a Massachusetts car, original owner; 2,000 miles in the past two years. We bought it sight unseen from an auction with some body damage, but a clean title. I was wondering what I should be looking for/ and or what should we fix when we get the car? Thanks in advance for the advice!

I also have a voltage blue LS that I have owned for over 15 years. I would make sure the timing belt has been changed, and if you are not sure, I'd make sure to change it. If nobody messed with the engine/transmission, it will last an eternity (as long as it is not allowed to rust). I have had zero problems that were not routine maintenance, other than a noisy AC pully bearing, which cost 15 dollars to replace. (And needing a new rear caliper- my fault for trying to use a c-clamp when changing the brake pads- didnt know they screw in rather than push in). But, the timing belt is essential. Good luck with the new car!

Thank you very much! Will check all of this out!
I got my 2001 LS from Carmax in 2005. It had 36k miles, now I have 108k. 2 things have broken, power antenna stripped the gear,(my fault for closing it with ice on it for years), and the hatch lock actuator. Check for water leaks. Sunroof drains, taillight gaskets, antenna drain, taillight locators, third brake light hole from spoiler, and sometimes from a random area around the windshield. Other than that maintain it and enjoy.
I forgot all about that rear hatchback switch! Hate that thing- I forgot mine broke awhile back and I tried to fix it. Seems like you should only engage it for the amount of time needed to raise the hatch, as they wear out, especially if you hold them in longer than necessarily over and over again. I opened the switch up and was able to melt the broken plastic piece together using a soldering iron. Glue didn't work for me. So yeah, that might break on you eventually.
Most everything I’d have mentioned has already been mentioned in the replies preceding mine…except for the distributor oil seal.

Get the engine a new set of spark plugs and spark plug wires, and also grab a new distributor cap and rotor (Note: make sure cap has brass contacts, not aluminum ones, as aluminum contacts will corrode rather quickly and cause misfires.). When you go to replace the cap and rotor, closely inspect the inside of the distributor housing, liking for signs of engine oil.

There is a seal around the distributor shaft that seals it from inside cylinder head’s valve covers. That seal will start to leak and allow engine oil into the distributor housing, which would eat away the wires’ insulation inside there if left unchecked.

If the seal is leaking, a seal kit can be purchased that comes with that leaker Plus one more for the shaft inside the housing above the cylinder seal. (Note: when searched for locally, I couldnt find aplace that Carried the seal kit or if they did, it was out of stock. I ended up finding one by using a 2000 Honda Accord as the target vehicle. With that set up in Advance auto’s app, I found the kit at a store down the road and ordered it for pickup later that day.)
