are there any other internals that is a must to change besides rods, pistons, headgasket and cylinder wall reinforcements?... i know tuning is key and all.. but jus wondering if anything in the head is crucial to change... i plan on about 300-350 whp... with all the goodies... thanx...

If you have the money, changing around your valvetrain will certainly help you reach 350hp faster. Is it necessary? No. Your biggest concern should be fuel. Fuel will be limiting factor after the bottom end.

If you are looking for that much HP you had better have a fully built block AND head with ARP head studs to hold it together. Also, at that HP level you MUST HAVE a stand-alone fuel management system!!

While you are at it you may as well go ahead and throw in a LSD for the transmission and get upgraded axles too. What good is all that power if you can't even leave the line?!

The only risk or weak point you would have in that setup is in the head ! Yes... if you were to rev to high while trying to race or miss a gear and it revs to high you may/could... crush a valve !

A good leakdown and compression test should be done prior to any turbo install. Unless you are re-building the internals don't bother it will all be brand new.

You may want to look at mileage(if high 90-100,000) and also replace the water pump and timing belt and raditor if needed.
