the type r is the b18c5 engine. so yes it will fit if he says it will fit the b18c5

I might be mistaken but wouldnt the CAI for a b18b and b18c5 be a different diameter? I would think the type R's would be 3" rather than the LS's 2 1/2".

LS & ITR intakes are very similar IIRC.

The actually itr cai is slightly bigger. This cai is made for the b18b but will fit an itr. I should of been more specific. The exhausts are exactly the same. The cai is polished grey. I have pix if you email me I can send them to you. I'll need your address to find out about shipping.
