Just out of curiosity, has anyone looked into importing a Type-R? I'm in line to receive some good money in a few months, and I'm just wondering if it's a possibility. I would absolutely love to have one, and I wouldn't doubt if I'd be one of only a few people with a Type-R in the good 'ol US =]

Wow, look around on the rest of their site. They have some very, very beautiful JDM cars that you can purchase.

I'll become their #1 customer

There have to be about 20 cars on that site that I want to buy. If I had $100,000, I'd spend every last penny on that site =P

They also have Spoon parts and other JDM pieces, in case you didn't see them...

I know that =P

It's $25,000 to legalize an R33 Skyline - I think it would be worth it, though. I can only imagine driving that thing, and all the heads you'd be turning...

And imagine pulling up next to somebody in an RSX, in your JDM ITR. They'd either a) wonder why you pasted Type R stickers on your RSX, or b) actually know WHY it's different and pause in awe =P

I guess I'll just keep dreaming...

Did you happen to read the imformation for US importing?

the legalizing cost of a Skyline is
1990~R32 Skyline GTR - around 16,000USD.
1995R33 Skyline GTR - around 17,000USD.
1996~ R33 Skyline GTR - around 25,000USD (OBD2 system).
1999~ R34 Skyline GTR - around 25,000USD (OBD2 system).

almost more then the car.

it is difficult to import it into the US at present.

Unless you wish to present crash test data for any Right Hand Drive car, it cannot legally be imported to the US. And we do not support to present crash test data.

It is possible to import of JDM cars under regulations regulating these cars to race(competition) use only.
Race cars cannot be registered for street use.

So yah it seems like a cool idea, but it looks to me like it was intedend for Oceania, not North America.
