How far (when turning the distributor counter-clockwise) can you advance the ignition timing before it stops turning. Since I don't have a timing light (b/c I have no money right now) I would like to know.

ummm...

DO NOT ADJUST IGNITIoN TIMING WITHOUT A TIMING LIGHT!!

if you don't know how to do it... don't do it.

you need a timing light, unless you can blink really fast.

I have OBD 2 in which the ECU retards timing if it is too advanced. BTW that doesn't answer my question.

relying on obd2 to fix your timing f**k-up isn't the best thing to do.

buy a timing light, it's cheap.

umm yeah.. i was adjusting my timing to hear ping then bakc it off. well i didn't hear any ping but i turned my dizzy all the way.. checked wiht the t-light and it's at like 22º judging from the stock timing mark spacing.. runs fine, no ping, seems like i gained a little top end so i left it. i need a dial type t-light tho

BTW you gotta jump the service connector before you make adjustments to get accurate readings
