How can i get it so that the antenna stays up or down? I heard that there is some way, but thats all i heard. Thanks for the info.
If you unplug the power to the antenna and leave it unplugged, yes.OmegaHack3 on Jul/13/02 said:Will diconnecting the power while the antenna is up keep the antenna up?
I believe so. That's why so many people have problems with their antennas not going back down or not extending all the way. I got so irritated by it that I just changed my antenna to an S2000 setup.jdmHottie on Jul/12/02 said:I guess this is kinda off topic, but can the antenna be made to stay down while a CD is playing? Also, I heard that eventually your antenna will bend a bit if you do a lot of highway driving...is that true?
it actually will. my dad's 95 camry has the same type of antenna as the teg, and that thing got bent up pretty bad. at one point, it didnt even go down all the way when turned off.jdmHottie on Jul/12/02 said:I guess this is kinda off topic, but can the antenna be made to stay down while a CD is playing? was this an aftermarket radio?said:the difference between mine, and morningZ's radio's is that i had to tap into the wire that was blue with a white stripe. so if you are goin to put in a switch, make sure you are specific to your radio.
dont be dissing gospel music nowz317 on Oct/24/02 said:to save the trouble, you can always go to your local audio shop, or even "best buy", drop 30 bucks or so, and tell them you want to add an antenna overwrite switch. 10 minutes later, voila, you'll have a teg with no antenna sticking in the air while listening to your favorite gospel cd.![]()
