i went to look at prices at Adavanced auto today and i got a price of 258$ for front and back monroe shock/strut. Im not exacly sure how much i should spend on them. does that look like a good price. can i get them for less anywhere? i just want new ones i can depend on, i dont need top of the line racing/performance ones.

Those are just OEM replacement shocks. Kinda spendy for OEM replacements. Other options would be Tokico HP Blues, or KYB GR-2s. Those are in the 250-300 range, and above that is KYB AGX in the 350 range. I'm not quite sure how reputable monroe shocks are for the teg. I'd go with HP Blues because I've had them and trust them for OEM replacements.
kyb or tokico, or go to H-T and look for sales. or craiglist.

I'd go online and look at H-T, they've got some great deals there -- also look at some of our sponsors.
Dont waste your money on Monroe sensatracs, you might as well get KYB - GR2's which are also a direct OEM replacement for 190 shipped or Tokico blues which are a little better than stock for 230 shipped on ebay. Im going to get the blues as soon as my wallet allows.
