im changing out my distributor rotor....but i cant take the screw out because the rotor is pointed towards Cylinder #4...what gives?

i'm assuming it's going to be pointing towards whatever cylinder fired last before shutdown....if I'm wrong someone please let me know.

you can either "bump" the motor with the key (just like trying to start it up, but it won't start because the distributer is apart) Or get a socket and a breaker bar onto the crank pully and turn it over by hand.

yah, i'd do the socket/braker bar like when you do a valve lash.
