Looking to buy headers for my 94. What is the difference between 4-2-1 and just 4-1 and what is better 2 piece or 1 piece Thanks

i posted a question about this a long long time ago. the info. that i got is that is better to get the 4-1 for vtec engines 7,000+ rpm. and the 4-2-1 for non vtec engines 7,000 rpm. this is because of the rpms that each header puts out its peak hp.

This is a nice clean dyno to compare Mugen's 4-1 and 4-2-1. Hopefully it will help to clear up the whole top end vs low end stuff.

It appears the 4-2-1 header is more pratical for street applications...

Also, think of how long is this Type R actually using the power in the 4-1's small 800 RPM powerband (7600-8400) compared to the rest of it's curve?
