Need to replace my water pump in my GS and was thinking of putting in the GSR water pump. I am planinning on doing the ls/Vtec swap on my car in the next 2-3 months but need the water pump now. Will this water pump fit on the gs timing belt and what are the differences in the gs water pump and the gsr water pump?

You know, the one thing the dealer will give you for free is information. You can figure this out in five minutes by calling a local acura dealer.

The part number for a '98 GS is 19200-P75-003.

The part number for a '98 GS-R is 19200-P72-013.

So, the answer to your question is no. The GS-R water pump will not work in the GS.
Just because they are different part numbers does not necc. mean that they aren't the same part.

You don't need a GS-R water pump for LS/VTEC conversion anyway so don't buy a gsr one. They perform the same task at the same pace. Lets think economic here.
