Heres the deal, I now have neuspeed racing springs with stock struts,it's like a 2.75" drop. I hit a steel plate on the road a while ago and screwed everything up. I am looking to go with a different setup. I was thinking of the eibach pro, it is only a 1" drop, with 17"s would that lower the car enough to make it look right, what kind of sacrifices in performance am I going to see?

17s raise your car up even with 40 series tires
so a one inch drop wouldnt be as low as u might think

1 inch is hard to notice...2.75...thats pretty low..try to find a kit that drops like 1.75...thats perfect..

Try Neuspeed sports. They lower 1.75/1.5. I got em and they are perfect. Not too low, but low enough.

or if your just concern with the wheel gap and not that much with a performace issue with suspension, get some adj. springs like ground controls with good shocks like koni yellows. but if you wanna stick with lowering springs, then get either neuspeed sports or eibach sportlines.

I put on some neuspeed sports on tuesday and love them. Not to low, but the wheel gap is nearly gone. Still rides great too. I have a few pics I will post tomorrow.

sorry to jump on your post but i have 16" right now so are you saying if i got 17" it would make it higher but i will i lose that wheel gap?

It all depends on the size of tire that you put on the 17"

my concern is performance and style both, I think you guys are right about the 1.75" drop, sounds good to me.
I put my rims on and I don't think it raised it up very much, maybe 1/4-1/2 inch or so but I still don't have very much clearance.

Suspension Techniques make a set of springs that give 2" front/1.8" rear drop, installed some on my sons 1990 GS a couple of months ago. Coupled with some AGX front struts the ride is great and the wheel gap is just right.
