G1 Tranny on a G2?

I am wanting to do a auto to 5 speed conversion and have been looking for a tranny, linkage, clutch, ect. There is a car lot by my house that just got in a G1 teggy with a 5 speed, and I'm wondering if the tranny off the G1 would work on my G2? If it would physically bolt up and work, would there be any problems with the gearing?

doubtfully, since g1 integras are D series engines. but dont take my advice

Oh well, I'll keep looking then. In the mean time, I'll drink sodas while in stop an go traffic to demonstrate my superiority over the shiftem' myselfers.
