Dont mean to discourage you about the lexan but, Lexan sucks at scratches and the visibility isint good even after a month as glass. In a proffesional race car they change the lexan after every race day. Just something to think about.
wouldnt lightening the back end of the car, throw the weight distribution way off, moreso than it already is?
Id go carbon fiber hood, with CF fenders (painted if you didnt want the CF look) and get rid of the spare tire..
Carbin fiber fenders dont weigh that much less than fiber glass fenders. Actually, the now that i think about it the oem metal fenders dont even weigh that much. The hood would be the only real thing that would leighten the car any. Plus good luck finding good carbon fiber fenders for a 2nd gen teg. I havent seen them yet, but i'm sure in time they will pop up.
