mine is out becasue it is thicker than the other one and not enough space. some people take them out becasue the AC system is gone.
i deleted mine..... should i take it out of keep it? i am worryed the car will over heat.
If you have no A/C, don't worry about it. The other fan is sufficient to keep your temp down so long as your coolant level is good. Trust me on this one since I'm always driving with the windows down and A/C off when the kid isn't in the car with me.
the other fan only comes on with the ac is active. if you have a high horsepower motor than you should consider running it, but than you would also hava a better radiator also.on my drag car i wired up the ac fan to come on when the reg. fan comes on.

thats miss information bro. both fans work in tandem... when you turn the A/C both fans come on... the the temp switch turns on both fans come on. they are wired on two indepent circuits as sort of a fail safe, but they always work together.
what i was saying is that when the ac fan doesn't come on with the other fan, only if the ac is on, ya when you turn on the ac both turn on but if you take off your ac than the ac doesn't turn on.

the temp switch only turns on one fan, not the ac one, the only way the ac ones turns on is when you turn the ac on which also turns the reg. fan on. you could overheat without the ac on and the ac fan would never turn on
I have the belt to my AC unit clipped because the AC unit itself was making a wierd whining noise. The belt was clipped at a dealership, by a mechanic, Is this bad?
some also remove it becasue of motor swap or to make their car lighter.

It just means you don't have A/C. If you want A/C, find out what's wrong with the compressor (either the clutch, or the entire compressor), and have it fixed with a new belt.
question...in reading this thread it said that its fine not to have the a/c fan if you dont have big hp numbers or if you have taken it out the a/c. now i still have a/c, but i had to replace my radiator and when i did so, i replaced w/ a aluminum (thicker) radiator. it only had the mounting places for the cooling fan.

will mine be fine even if i run a/c w/o my a/c fan??
