i need some advice for a friend
her 01 prelude needs some work and she's looking for some information.. she lives in NY but will be here in a few months visiting and was planning to have the work done here... what can you expect to pay for a quality rebuild, and how does that compare to what you'd pay for a new or lightly used motor?

pistons are messed up, smokes a lot so she thinks maybe a ring is fried i'm not too sure i can find out... she wants to get a motor as close to new as possible so whats the cheapest way to do that, basically... thanks

me personally I would rebuild. buying a used motor will always be a hit or miss.

cool thanks man... she has decided she wants a rebuild.. she doesn't want any hassle until her man (my friend) is out of jail in a year or 2... so what would the average rebuild cost be? i know it all depends on the motor and what all you want done, but what would she be looking to spend... i have no idea so i guessed 2k to 4k..
