.................WOW

Btw, don't forget to change your blinker fluid every 2k, and to make sure you only fill it with V-TECH fluid at that.

LOL oil just spilled onto the mount man, it is likely just residual leakage from around the sides of the bushing.
ROFL ! wait..... ok done laughing, samy there isnt any oil inside nor does your mounts need oil. Most likely its oil that accidently got spilled onto it.

there is no where else that the oil could have come from. its only coming from the engine mount. I have another problem, i use only vtec oil in my engine so this cannot get any leak from my b16

Funny as you guys think you are, there is one engine mount that is fluid filled.

What kind of oil? What's going on here? You can get a leak in any engine.

Maybe show post a picture?

I suggest you re-research. Driver's side mount is. Not only the OEM, but the Mugen mount is as well. When they dry and split, the fluid leaks. It's there for vibration damping.
Interetsing, this is deff new info to me, I have seen my drievrs side mount during the coil over install, and never noticeed anything, and it was already all cracked looking and dry. So maybe it has leaked a while back.
But unless this guy has that mugen mount, I dont think that it will matter to him.
Cheezthis said the oem mount has oil as well as the mugen one

I've never heard of oil in the mount. News to me. Which driver side mount? The big upper one, right?

what?! what the heck is VTEC oil? and cheezthis is right, you can get a leak from any engine, whatever oil you use...

and this whole deal with engine mounts being fluid-filled is not a new thing...I've heard of/seen a good number cars that have engine mounts with fluid in them...my brother's '95 Maxima, for example.
I have changed ever single mount in my car and they all are rubber. My friends 04 accord on the other hand has fluid filled mounts. When the rubber was cracked it was solid broken pieces, were you on acid when you did this and saw fluid come out or something lol
hmmm interesting.at first i thought it could be the power steering fluid dripping all over the mount, since it sits right there by the mount.
ya its got to be fluid dripping down on it
damn v tac oil?!

i need some of that. make my vtac kick in smoother and louder.
I need some vtec oil, maybe it is the equivilent of having a vtec head. lol. No, seriously though, I never knew that some engine mounts had fuild in them. I learn something every day; sometimes multiple things.
LOL the vtec oil is just a joke for the other guy becuase he didn't believe me that there was some kind of oil in engine mounts. I know for sure that it was to be coming from the engine mount. I think its the engine mount becuase inside the rubber piece its broken and i can see some kind of oil form that is all over the place. I may be wrong but its the only reason to explan for my oil leak.
I know of liquid filled harmonic balancers, but engi mounts...Next thing ya know his muffler bearings are rattling.
Anyone who has installed the Prothane engine inserts know that the upper driver side mount is liquid filled. To install the Prothane insert, you have to take the center out completely. When you separate the rubber from the outer metal ring, oil spills out.

So, to those who felt the need to be smart asses, perhaps you should reconsider the way you comment on things, especially since you may not know what you are talking about.
