That would be nice. The FX35s are probably very similar to the G35 ones. Why are they doing a recall on them?
I don't remember why it was the older models, but I got a pair of g35s the whole headlight assembly for free. Just haven't really found time to rip them apart. I might sell the projectors, but I might keep them and get some other headlights to do a retrofit on, plus a drl with a similar bulb and set up in my high beams.

So first thing I installed was my new deck. The one that came in the car when I bought it had a broken aux jack so I was unable to use my MP3 player. Forgot to take pics of it installed but its the Sony DSX-S300BTX. Its got all the goodies and was only $130 shipped. Its got bluetooth which does calling and pandora plus you can change the songs through the deck, 2 USB ports, a pretty slick compartment for your ipod inside of it. I decided to just buy a cheap 8gb thumb drive for $6 and just leave it in there and not worry about it. Heres some boring stock pics

Seems like a pretty good deck for the money. I would definitely recommend it if your on a budget and dont use CDs (who does anymore lol).

Next I installed my front mudflaps that I ordered since my car didnt have any when I bought it. Cant believe these are only $23 a pair online from acurapartsworld.com. Password JDM is selling the fronts and backs for $130 lol. Comes with all the hardware to install them too.

Installed

Next I deleted my antenna since the one on it was stolen and I dont use the radio anyways. Only a $2 mod so why not.
Before

Part number for the plug

After

Didnt really take a closeup shot of my rims showing my $5 center cap mod. The paint I used matches the gunmetal of the rims pretty well.

I also replaced my shift linkage bushings that werent on there before. Definitely made a huge improvement on how shifting feels. I was hoping this was the annoying rattle that I can hear from 2500-4000 rpm but I guess ill have to keep looking. It sounds like it could be my exhaust but when I was under there I was shaking the whole exhaust system and didnt hear anything. I dont think its the heat shields but I guess it could be. Ill probably do some more searching next time I got the car in the air. Got a small exhaust leak in my exhaust near the center of the car .

Just a quick shot of the crew and I at the casino last night.

So last week I went to turn on the defrost for the windshield since its starting to get a little colder out in the mornings and noticed there wasnt any air coming out. Started feeling around and noticed that the air was blowing near my knee. Not sure whats wrong but im guessing maybe the duct for the defrost is either broken or missing.

On the plus though my parents are gone for a week so the garage is wide open. I figure it would be a great time to do my tan to black conversion and while the dash is out I can figure out the defrost. Went to storage today and picked up all the parts. I got alot of vacation time at work that I gotta use so I decided to take Friday off and dig into it Thursday night and Friday. This would give me enough time to run to the wrecking yard if needed for the vent parts. Heres what I get to look forward to

The carpet that came with the swap looks a little rough. Im gonna take it to the car wash probably tomorrow and see if I can clean it up some otherwise ill either replace it or dye it black.

Still no seats yet though. I am planning on finding a set of Recaros for the front and probably ITR rears but thats gonna have to wait till we move.

Alright so I started doing the tan to black swap. Currently I got the dash out and swapped over the dash harness to the new black dash, that was alot of fun:icon_twisted:. Also got my vin swapped to the new dash and riveted on. Doesnt look too bad.

Right now I am about to go and pick up some black carpet, trunk carpet and rear section of the center console. I could have sworn I already had the rear console but cant seem to find it anywhere. Once I pick up the carpet ill get that installed then swap in the new dash.

You're so lucky, you didn't have to go to a bee's nest of wires like mine.
Like mentioned above, they are a pain but so worth it
You won't regret the black swap. I finished mine last week (took about 6hrs in total). Wasn't able to do the carpet doe since the one I removed the stuff from was mad gross.

So I got tan carpets
Cool guy points LOOOL.

Looking good. That swap is gonna be nice. I just helped my friend finish his. It's impressive seeing how far you've gotten on your Integra in such short time. Let me know if you could use some help with the carpet swap. I've had to remove mine and I know how to do it with only making one cut under the e-brake handle.

I was actually wondering if I could come pick up your tan center console? I don't need the ashtray, or cup holders. I'm doing a retrofit with some wood grain acura legend parts and would like to have an extra center console in case I mess up. I'm right up on Lea hill in Auburn.

Whats the cut under the ebrake for? I havent gotten to that point yet but I wasnt planning on making any cuts to the carpet.

If I find my other black center console that I could have sworn I had you can have my tan one. Im planning on installing a center console in my girls EF hatch since its a direct fit for those. Still cant believe Honda didnt put center consoles standard in those lol. Any pics of your retrofit so far?

The cut under the e-brake is so you don't have to remove the handle assembly. the service manual says to make three cuts, then ziptie the cuts back together. It really depends how much work you want to go through to keep your carpet as cut-free as possible. You could in theory take it out without cutting it, just have to remove a lot of stuff. (ignore the wiring, it's for my seat heaters)

I'm really glad you asked for pics of my retrofit. I had misplaced some parts that I needed. I haven't started it yet because I need to take some measurements for cutting and mounting. But here's all the parts that are going into it. The stereo pocket will replace the "pocket" under the cup holders.

Didnt have much time to work on it today. Had a little too much :beer:last night and by the time I got around to working on it it was getting dark. Currently I have all the seats out, dash still out and have one of the rear side plastics out. I did however finally install something black which was the rear buckles.

I picked up the remaining parts that I needed. The carpet ended up not being black and was a light gray. I ended up just cleaning up the one that I had bought before since it was a dark gray. I took it to the car wash and sprayed it down and it isnt too bad but has a spot on the rear which looks like something was spilled on it and faded to a light color. I think ill end up replacing the carpet later down the line with a black one in better condition.

I did wrap my center console so it would match my door panels.

Turned out alright has some wrinkles on the front and back where the corners are.

Heres a random pic of the mess in the garage. Interior parts everywhere!

Im gonna wake up super early tomorrow and finish swapping the black interior in. Another thing I need to do is drill a hole in my door panels for my tweeters since the panels dont have them. Ill post up new pics when I finish.
