I'm currently running PIAA SuperWhite H3 bulbs in my OEM fogs. Very white and bright light. So I bought a set of 9006 SuperWhites for the low beams in hopes of getting similar light output (H3=55W, 9006=51W). The PIAAs suck! They are much less white than the fog bulbs and I think my Silverstars were actually whiter! Could I have a defective pair? Or should I return them and get the new Extreme White?

Yeah, I woudl return them if possible and get a pair of 9005 Silverstars, then do the 9005 coversion. You will have a nice bright, white light. (woo, rhyme)
thats what I did(different bulbs though). works awesome

I just picked up some xtreme white plus, PIAA's newest 9006 bulb. I had the street glows, but one went out AGAIN. I've gone thru three pairs of 9006 street glows...they bite. The PIAA's were about $72 bucks, but they are pretty, damn cool!

I was going to check them out on my car in the morning, but drove to the supermarket tonight...it is the brightest bulb that I have owned.

I have the xtreme white plus for the low and the streetglow 9005 for the highs..i won't be surprised if the streetglow highs go soon...

It's a pretty bright set up on my ride...I've also got CATZ XLO white driving lights with PIAA 194s (They replaced the BL hybrids..(that was two wasted pairs!!) for the corners with Bl Hybrid 1157 for the front of the corners...

I had some of the first bluish light bulbs, but could barely see anything..I mean REAL blue...nice looks, but no driving capability...couldn't see the road!

These new bulbs were well worth the expense..brigher than the standard PIAA superwhites...

Hope this helps some of you guys!

Just get some APC cheap light bulbs like i got in my teg. They project a pure white color. Not nessiarly street legal like the PIAAs are but hell, white is white. They're also cheaper too cuz APC makes cheap ass products! I got my pair for like $30 at pepboys hehe.

I have a pair of PIAA extreme white plus 9006 running on my car. They are whiter & brighter than Silverstars 9005 IMO.

here's a pix of them again

I'm gonna be changing the LED bulbs I have in my clear corners to halogens next week once they come in. Then my clear corners will be as white & bright as the PIAA's. Waiting for my cuz to sell his 'Lud already so I can get his HID's. Now those are super white & blinding bright.

Here's a pic of the 9005 Silverstar Conversion on my 95 LS. The cool thing about them compared to those 80W bulbs is, yea the Nokya's I had were more of a bluish white, but the actual light output is jack squat compared to the silverstars. Light up everything great.

You know how when you kneel down to almost eye level and the headlights are super bright. Well, here is an intresting picture I took with a stock 9006 bulb on the left and a 9005 silverstar on the right.

Note: This pic HAS NOT been modified in any way, this is just me kneeling down with a Sony DSC-P50 digi camera.

I had the piaa extreme bulbs...they were nice..but i paid way too much for them, almost twice as what the silverstars 9005 costs...the 9005 silverstars IMO look a lil less white, but it seems to produce more light. The piaa extreme bulbs are bright, but i think the silverstars are better
