DOES ANYoNE KNOW OF ANY VISUAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A 94 LS TRANNY AND A 94 GSR TRANNY? I NEED TO FIND OUT ASAP SO I DoN WASTE MY TIME BY PUTTING IT oN IF ITS AN LS TRANNY!!! THANX!!!

This thread and this thread have some information on identifying the different transmissions (other than gear ratios). I just typed in "difference between transmission housing" into the search box and selected "Forum Body (Google)" as the method, and came up with a lot of information.
