I put an HID system in my high beams for even better light output!
You just wasted your money. A problem with HID lighting is that it is not 'instant-on' like a halogen bulb is. The gas actually needs to heat up and come to operating temperature before it is effective. High beams must be able to turn on in an instant, and hence this warm-up time would severely affect their operation. Save your money and stick with a good set of halogen bulbs for your high beams.
