Can anyone recommend some really hard hitting competition subs?

mtx rfl some matts jugernots ummm thats about all i can think of for top of th eline comp subs. btw rfls are comps only subs dont play music on them or u will blow it!

Competition sub are just plain old subs. Its kinda like "Tommy Boy"-I could take a crap in a box and call it gaurenteed, but it would be a garenteed piece of...well you know. So to answer your question, any sub will do, comp or not. You just have to look at the RMS. The higher RMS, usually, the beter. I mean if you want to compete, than you will have to do some custom work. but a good sounding sub is JL, Alpine, or even Rockford Fosgate.

right now I have JL's and they sound good but arent to loud. I wont something thats really loud and I could care less how it sounds

If you dont mind me asking why would you want something really loud if it sounds like crap? Not saying that you want something that sounds like crap just why dont you care how it sounds?

I dont mean total crap. I just want a set that is power over clarity.

Competition subs are way more than you need. They have pretty much zilch clarity and way more power than you need, besides only coming in 15" and below. The cones are usually cheap paper since they blow them often and need cheap replacements and they arent designed to last very long.

There are so many compitions subs out there ,Pretty well what you want to know first ,Is how much do you want to spend ,and are you going to enter compitions with them.
I would go with the inhumans ,or maybe the power HX2.Do not go with the MTX RFL ,they are not worth the money .They made last for 5 compitions.

most likely I wont enter any competitions, and how much do I want to spend well not way to much. I dont know much competition subs go for. Where can the inhumans and power HX2 be found

Get MTX 8000 series... they are comp level subs, but also good for listening to music on.. I have 2 6000 12's, and they hit harder than any single coil subs ive ever heard..

Hey I have mtx 6000 tri-sub enclosure in teh back of my tegy..and it pounds...u can here a couple blocks away...and well your hair vibrates from it!!...
