If you "slam" it.....then you're obviously not going for improved suspension performance.
Coilovers handle well provided you don't "slam" your car. 1.5-1.75" w/ oem shocks will be fine. I don't recommend lower than 2" on oem shocks because of tire rubbing and shock dampening issues.
I have ground control and it takes about 20 minutes to adjust the ride height on all four corners. 1 minute to jack up the car. 2-3 minutes to turn the spring perch. 1 minute to lower the jack. Multiplied by 4 corners is about 20 min.
Lower than 1.5" and you'll prob. start to run into camber issues. My car is about 1.6" and my tires have worn fairly evenly over the past year because I've rotated, balanced and maintained a decent tire psi.
