nah man, it's they typical siren on almost every alarm (viper, clifford, sidewinder, etc.) it's got 6 different sounds... not pitches or high/low. Like a whistle, and than something that sounds like a laser, and crap like that. Cutting wires deletes a sound.
For example, typical alarm plays 6 sounds, and repeats. If you cut wire 5 (deletes 5th sound) than they would play 1,2,3,4,6 and then repeat. you get a distinctive alarm plus if you wanted to piss someone off you could use the 2 or 3 annoying ass ones.
Lastly (although I think this differs from alarm to alarm, not sure...) there is wires that control a) how loud it is (cut it and its a few dB louder) and b) wires that control how long siren sounds (30, 60, 120, 180 seconds)
