Last night on the way home from school I was messing around (the road was empty mind you) with my car and did a WOT pull in 2nd from 4k to 8500. Nothing strange about that itself, but as I did it, I heard this "hiss-hiss-hiss" that got quicker higher up in the RPM range. I have no clue what it is. I tried doing pulls in 1st and third, and the same hissing is there, so it probably doesn't have to do w/wheel speed. Anyone come across this before?
Some info on my car:
'98 Integra GS-R with almost 90k (haven't done tune-up yet)
-just had the axle replaced. The new one is kinda ****ty, the steering wheel slightly shudders under half to WOT. The OEM ones did this, but not as badly...
-thought it might be something internal so I did a compression test; 230 +/- 5 psi all across
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
