Glass specialist IMO...acura rips your a new one on just about everything...Do you have this covered by insurance? It honestly shouldn't be too costly.

fuuucked up sh*t... sorry to hear it man...
it has happened to me many of times since i have a most desired deck combo on the dash... so i get alot of hit and runs. i put 3 led's now on my alarm to help this problem. i actually also keep two extra windows from a parts car i had inthe past... both the driver and passenger side window. but i noticed you said rear... are you talking the rear quarter glass? or the side windows... cause if thats the case ill part with the one you need for fairly cheap... if you need it then it bolts right in with 2 10mm bolts.

its the rear quarter window. do you have experience with doing the installs. a friend of mine said that i might be able to find a used window and do it myself. is that possible without any special tools? also, what kinda deck do you have that everyone else wants?

I paid 95 dollars for a new drivers side quarter panel window. I had quotes for 80 bucks up to 254 bucks. It pays to shop around I called 20 + places before I decided to go where I did.

if you have the time and patience it is very possible to change out your own glass... i did it with a pathfinder picked up the glass at nissan and put it in... long as its not a winshield it isn't too bad

yea somebody shot out my drivers side window and it cost me like $100 to get the replacement and have it installed. and the guy actually even drove to my house to do the installation. so definently check around, theres got to be a cheaper place around.

220 for a windshield? I wouldn't trust it at that price. My mom's car just had a cracked windshield and it was $400.
Windshields costs are different for each make & model. My sister's Corolla had the windshield replaced for $125 & I had my windshield on my G3 teg replaced for $195. Those are the prices here in NJ and they drive out to your house to do it. What's not to trust from a company that's been in business for 25+ years?

scobe021, those quotes you are getting sound too high. Should cost no more than $100 for the rear quarter panel.

The rear quarter windows are a single piece that includes the black molding. I learned this when Acura replaced both rear quarter windows on my '98 GS-R under warranty. The back corner of the molding on both sides was sticking out over 1/4", so they agreed to replace them.

As the window and molding comes as one piece, I would think that an auto glass shop would either use a genuine Acura replacement or try to reuse the existing molding. Make sure you ask them when you shop for a replacement.

You could also check with the dealer to find out what the part costs. once the old window is removed and the mounting area prepared, the new window is simply bonded in place using adhesive. Mine were held on with masking tape for a few hours until the adhesive cured.
