I am just curious, is there any difference in performance if a car has a 4x100, or whatever else bolt pattern there is? If not, then why do it?

The only other Integra with a different bolt pattern is the Type-R. It's a 5 lug.
No the bolt pattern alone does not have a direct affect on performance. But it is stronger.

honda generally uses 5 lugs on their more powerful cars, so maybe it has something to do with that.

but I don't see how it will affect performace, maybe just takes more load off from each lug to lighten the burden per lug

So something with a larger bolt patter is more likely to be able to take pot holes and stuff without damage?

damage to what? I don't think it has anything to do with the terain of what you are driving on.

you wheels will get bent in a 5 lug or 4 lug setup
