as i've looked for a body kit for the last 2 weeks - i've learned that some kits are lower cost because they are a copied style (or stylin kits).

i would like to know if i should worry about buying copied kits from these online vendors as opposed to the real thing.

ex.
BOMEX stylin would run me $599 4piece kit
BOMEX real deal would run me $1000+ 4piece kit

regards

Most of the time, the original body kit is urethane (good), and the imitations are fiberglass (bad). Fiberglass breaks a lot easier, etc.

well real ones can be fiberglass too.. but there is always a fitment problem on the replicas.. and trust me..u would prolly end up payin close to the same fixnig those fitment problems.. so in the long run.. get the real deal like holyfield.. heh..

go for the real deal and discourage copys, it takes away from the original creator

plus there is the issue with fitment as previously suggested

knock-offs are usually bad, but if its urethane, they generally are supposed to fit on like oem. fiberglass body kits seem to not fit as well. they usually have gaps and sh*t.
