just wondering if anyone has heard of this as my local shop wants me to put one in as i going turbo, but someone told they create hot spots around the cylinders or something. any thoughts or comments. are they worth it?

like all products, you get what you pay for. some blockguards dont allow enough coolant to flow, others do.

since the block gaurd sits in the coolant passages, it block coolant flow. also since it touches the walls it will prevent coolant from cooling the parts that it is touching. this causes hot spots and/or detonation.

yeah, i actually typed blockguard wrong when i searched and only one thread came up. sorry guys and thanks for the responses. blockgaurd and blockguard. its all the same
