When I hit fairly large bumps, cracks in the road, my bass cuts off for about 3 seconds to sometimes 1 minute. I checked the wires to make sure they were connected completely and didn't find anything. Anyone know what could be wrong?

is your amp laying around loose or is it mounted to something?

It is mounted to the back of the rear seat.

It could be the RCA wires running from the headunit to the amp, or the remote wire running from the headunit to the amp or it could be power wire running from the battery to the amp, somethings bound to be loose. double check all the connections and make sure your sub box is secure and not moving around.
