No. While you "could" it would be a waste of a type-r engine due to the fact that the type-r's gears are MUCH shorter than an ls's in order to keep the rpm's up. You would find yourself falling out of the powerband after every shift.
My friend put a B16 tranny in his LS. It's nice. Alot more agressive, the only downfall is he tops out at like, 110. But for street racing its really cool.
you can put a b16 tranny in 94 ls but its a cable clutch, not a hyrdrolic clutch which comes with the gen 3's. more work to put in, and not as good of a tranny.
